Yes, Worldline! Worldline is 2D sidescrolling action platformer for PC, Mac, and Linux. Its main mechanics feature VHS-inspired time manipulation and enemies that tear apart the fabric of reality, resulting in retro-style corruptions. Explore a colorful and story-rich sci-fi universe depicted in our stylized cartoon pixel art.
Worldline’s main gameplay
gimmick mechanic revolves around something called “essence.” Through the power of essence, you can use six time-altering abilities, that we totally didn’t steal from anywhere else, allowing you to pause, slow, rewind, fast-forward, record, and reset time.
Worldline aims to be a solid mix of action and platforming, while also providing interesting puzzles that can be solved using essence. Aside from puzzles and platforms, essence also has it’s uses for combat. The game’s main enemies, these assholes,
are known as “tears.” Both the result of excess time manipulation, as well as excellent sources of essence themselves, it’s the player’s duty to defeat these enemies throughout the game. The name derives from the fact that tears “tear” apart reality, which results in authentic(ish) real-time corruptions.
If you’ve read this far, then you’re probably wondering if you can play Worldline. You can’t.
But we plan on releasing a demo soon! How soon? Not even God knows that! In order to stay more “in-tune” with the game, our production schedule defies most of the laws of space-time. If you’d like to play the demo at some point, you’d just like to keep tabs on the game’s progress, or you’d just like some more info, then you can head on over to our website and sign up for our newsletter.
